English Dub Review: TSUKIMICHI -Moonlit Fantasy “Party Beneath the Moonlight”

Overview

After the battle in Limia, Makoto returns to the demiplane where he is welcomed by Tomoe, Mio, and the residents of the demiplane. After a short celebration, Makoto returns to Rotsgard to wipe out the remaining mutants, ending the days-long turmoil.

Our Take

After all the battles, Makoto finally got some time to relax with his party members and friends. This season was packed with intense battles, particularly highlighting Sofia as a significant threat. The city cleared the remaining mutant threats, and Hibiki also played a crucial role. While the storytelling style didn’t change much, Makoto remained consistent, navigating the world’s troubles.

Makoto and Shiki received a hero’s welcome at the Demiplane, celebrating the successful reclamation of Fort Stella without any casualties. Shiki faced some playful teasing from Tomoe and Mio for standing out during the battle against Lancer/Mitsurugi. Makoto’s lessons to his students emphasized hard work and the impermanence of his teaching role. The introduction of Zara, despite past conflicts, acknowledged Makoto’s efforts and a toast in the Demiplane highlighted the hard work and improved cooking skills of Mio.

Overall, this season offered a decent watch, with enjoyable arcs at Rotsgard Academy and an intriguing dynamic between Makoto and the Goddess. The focus on character interactions and world-building added depth, setting the stage for more exciting developments in the future. Season 3 promises further expansion of the Kuzunoha Trading Company and new adventures, with the hope of seeing more of Hibiki, who stood out this season.
