English Dub Review: Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture “Alliance”

Overview:

A transport ship arrives with supplies. The new Knightmare Frame model comes accompanied.

Our Take:

After 1.5 seconds into this episode, my question from last week was immediately answered and I couldn’t be more excited. Not only is Lelouch back but so is C.C. I’m excited to see what part they will have to play in this series. Lelouch has already made a pretty big impact because unless I’m mistaken he is the one who gave Sakuya her Geass. They aren’t the only previous characters to make an appearance either, Nina Einstein is also here. I know what you’re thinking, yes the table girl, but maybe she’ll be less annoying in this series. If you don’t know what I mean by “table girl” then you need to watch the original series and get back to me.

One of the Knightmare they received in the last episode now has an ace pilot and Haruka was chosen. I’m excited to see her in action because the last female ace pilot we saw in Code Geass was Kallen Stadtfeld and she was one of the best characters. It does lead me to one concern which is I’m worried that this show will just be a re-telling of the original series but only time will tell.
