English Dub Review: Chillin’ in Another World with Level 2 Super Cheat Powers “A Steamy Hot Spring Trip, Part 2”
Overview
Flio and his friends have arrived at the hot spring where they encounter the Demon King’s group and the Golden-haired Hero who’s transformed and chaos ensues. While Flio and his friends fight to save the town, Gholl faces off against Yuigarde.
Our Take
The hot spring trip took a dramatic turn as Filo learned from Balirossa about Yuigarde and his Dark One. Despite believing Gholl and Uliminas could handle him, the addition of Fenrys made it a bloodbath between the brothers. Yuigarde tested Gholl’s resolve, but Gholl himself had a trick up his sleeve. Fortunately, the inn was protected by otherworldly creatures, and Filo managed the restoration work with help from others.
With the hard work done, everyone relaxed in the hot springs, including Rys in the Yanagi Bath. Despite the challenges, Filo and Gholl’s relationship came full circle, and efforts to improve relations between humans and demons continued. Fenrys spent quality time with Filo, reflecting on how her interactions with humans had changed her perspective, especially her bond with Filo.
Overall, this season delivered a satisfying conclusion with well-developed characters and relationships. The rightful queen of Klyrode was restored to power, and Filo’s happy life with Fenrys and others began anew. The anime’s strong points, such main two lead’s chemistry, character development, and engaging story, made it an enjoyable watch and it remains to be seen if Season Two ever becomes a thing…
Do we know if Hulu will be the only entity to have the dub, or if it will be on other platforms, too? The show in general is definitely going to be on multiple platforms.
