English Dub Review: A Journey Through Another World: Raising Kids While Adventuring “Monster Hunting!”

Overview:

Takumi and the twins are invited on an expedition. The three of them try to hold back their powers, but they feel a menacing gaze fixed on them.

Our Take:

This anime is a cute way to spend a Sunday and I’m looking forward to many more episodes. I was happy that Takumi was able to put a collar on the sacred beasts in order to make them look more like an animal that would be a pet. I was worried that they would have to spend all their time in Takumi’s shadow but luckily that won’t be the case.

I’m sure most of the other adventurers find it quite odd that Takumi would bring two children along on a quest to eliminate some monsters. Takumi messed up by not preparing the kids to not go all out because now he’s going to have to explain to people why two children can kill monsters with ease.

This series is cute and fun but it doesn’t do anything particularly unique. It’s typical isekai with the only difference being that this guy had two kids to adopt right off the bat. Takumi isn’t as overpowered as other protagonists but he still impresses everyone like most isekai heroes do. I hope it does something a little more interesting soon but as of now it’s not a bad way to spend some time.
