WB Japan was promising a big presence at AnimeExpo 2024, but that didn’t really happen.
Junji Ito says that Uzumaki is slated to premiere later this year but you wouldn’t know it because there hasn’t been any announcement as such which is surprising because a lot of the streamers are starting to reveal their fall 2024 lineups.
No sign of Rick and Morty: The Anime, which isn’t surprising because the first-looks have been getting panned like crazy on social media and Rick and Morty co-creator Dan Harmon still believes that fans have accepted the new voices of the OG series despite the ratings saying otherwise.
But, other than some stills for the upcoming THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE WAR OF THE ROHIRRIM and more talk of the already announced Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League, not much else was announced.
Update 7/6: Adult Swim has revealed the English dub cast for Uzumaki with synopsis.

Synopsis: “Let’s leave this town together,” asks Shuichi Saito, a former classmate of Kirie Goshima, a high school girl who was born and grew up in Kurouzu-cho. Everything from a strange whirlwind, billowing smoke from the crematorium, and the residents is turning into spirals. People’s eyes spin in whirls, a tongue spirals, and the bodies twist unnaturally. In an attempt to escape the curse of the spirals, Kirie decides to flee from Kuouzu-cho, but can she get away from this turmoil?
