English Dub Review: The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen “The Treacherous Princess Faces the Future”

Overview:

Pride has changed many lives for the better, but is it truly enough to escape her destiny? She doesn’t believe so. Regardless, that won’t stop her from helping others.

Our Take:

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and guess that the author of this series has some sort of foot fetish. I don’t judge but there’s been way too many episodes where someone kisses (or in this case licks) Pride’s foot. I was a big Val fan going into this episode but that might have taken a little bit of a hit after that one. I know he was just trying to mess with her but it was…odd. Having said that, I couldn’t help but notice that Val was showing up around Pride practically shirtless a whole lot, he may not think he has feelings for her but we all know better.

I was slightly disappointed with how this series ended because there was a post-credits scene that is clearly setting up a second season. But as of now there hasn’t been any confirmation and that’s a shame because it felt like this was just getting started.

I’ll have a lot to say about this series in the season review, one thing I”m excited to touch on is the voice work in this. Sentai tends to stick with a certain group of talent and like any group they need to get new people eventually and some of the new people they’re bringing in has been great.
