The battle with Sade ends as Alice decides what decision she’ll make about her future.
Our Take:
After this week’s episode of Mushoku Tensei, I needed this episode. I cried during both but for way different reasons. Alice and the Duke getting together has become such a forgone conclusion for me that I’ve been more invested in other couples. I’m hoping for an epilogue where we see what everyone has been up to in the last episode. Forgive me I got a little off-track but as I was saying the Duke and Alice was a done deal in my head I never thought that Alice might run off. I’m happy that didn’t last very long because the Duke went right after her. I was afraid this issue would last the whole last episode but this anime has been great at subverting expectations.
We have one episode left and I’m sad and happy all at the same time. I’m glad we even got to this point, and happy that it seems to reaching a happy conclusion but I don’t want it to end. Why do romance stories always have to end right when the couple gets together?! I wish more shows like Horimiya followed the couple around after they got together. I should watch what I say though because there’s one more episode left and as I’ve said this show likes to exceed my expectations.
