English Dub Review: Black Butler “His Butler, Final Match”

Overview:

Ciel and the rest of Sapphire Owl House have won their way into the deciding match. As the cricketers exercise their talents to the fullest, Sebastian pursues the Head Master, who has appeared at last.

Our Take:

I’ll be the first to admit I have no idea what the rules of cricket are and after this episode, I’m even more confused. I didn’t expect a hype sports episode from a supernatural thriller anime. What I did learn from this episode was that I would for sure watch an anime about cricket. Sure that’s not saying much because, to be honest, I would watch an anime about anything.

I thought the school days were going to end but it seems they will continue for a while. Sebastian decided to chase after the headmaster but couldn’t corner him, then when he did he disappeared into thin air. Now I’m more intrigued than ever to try and figure out exactly what’s going on at this school because Sebastian is a demon and couldn’t catch this guy.

This anime is capturing my attention enough that I feel like I might want to give the whole series a try. The Phantomhive family alone is fascinating and I want to see more of them. I do love some school life so I’m glad that it will have to continue.
