WB Japan Announces Anime Expo 2024 Slate

Los Angeles’ Anime Expo 2024 is set for July 4th and WB Japan has so far announced two big presentations in the form of Suicide Squad ISEKAI and Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League, the latter of which is a direct sequel to Batman Ninja.

In Suicide Squad Isekai, the Suicide Squad end up in another world of magic and monsters. Unless they get back, their nano bombs will detonate within 72 hours. The upcoming anime television series is based on the team Suicide Squad from the comics by DC Comics. It will be produced by Wit Studio, presented by Warner Bros. Japan, and directed by Eri Osada, with the series composition and the screenplay by Tappei Nagatsuki and Eiji Umehara, the character design by Naoto Hosoda from the draft by a manga artist Akira Amano, and music by Kenichiro Suehiro. While at first there wasn’t talk of an English dubbed adaptation, recent events seem to indicate that an English dubbed adaptation is on the way.

Just announced today, a sequel to the critically-acclaimed feature-length film Batman Ninja has been announced entitled Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League is expected to have the English dubbed cast and crew from the previous film. What’s not known is whether or not Leo Chu and Eric Garcia will do another rewrite for the American release.
