King of the Hill: Bobby Hill Is Old Enough To Drink And Has A Day Job In Hulu Revival

Slated to premiere sometime in 2025 on Hulu, 20th Television Animation and Bandera Entertainment are hard at work on the upcoming King of the Hill revival series. That said, you would be wise to not think this is just a simple return of a franchise like Futurama. Instead, this revival will feature a time skip of nine years though most of the OG cast of the series is slated to return including Mike Judge, Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, and Lauren Tom. The voice of “Dale” Johnny Hardwick was also slated to return until the actor’s untimely passing in August of last year.

Not known right now is if the voices of Luanne and Lucky aka Brittany Murphy and Tom Petty will be replaced though it’s sounding more and more like Toby Huss will not be the voice of Kahn Souphanousinphones, which is depressing, though the aforementioned Lauren Tom will return as the voice of Minh. And although none of the OG writing staff is returning either, King of the Hill’s Pamela Adlon notes in a new interview that Bobby Hill will be a 21-year old cook for a fusion restaurant of some sort in Dallas which certainly sounds interesting, and as such, it may not matter if the OG writing staff returns or not.

Synopsis:

King of the Hill depicts the life and times of Hank Hill (Mike Judge), his family and their neighbors in the fictional suburb of Arlen, Texas, the heartland of America. A hard-working, loyal family man and proud Texan, Hank is assistant manager of Strickland Propane. He’s a blue-collar Everyman who sees himself as the voice of common sense and reason in a world of incompetent sales clerks, meddling bureaucrats and do-good liberals.
