An animated comedy that centers on a flawed family of humans, gods and monsters that tries to run one of the worldÕs first cities without killing each other.

I gotta tell ya, after watching the teaser I certainly can see why Universal Basic Guys was given a season two renewal because it has been YEARS since I’ve seen a new FOX animated comedy teaser make me laugh in the first minute and boy does this one get me, so I’m excited. Also of interest, it sounds like FOX is readying a launch of a second Animation Domination night because Family Guy’s season 23 premiere won’t happen until midseason 24/25 (returning to Sunday nights) along with the fifth season of The Great North and the second season of Grimsburg, so FOX is pretty much one show away from truly filling a second full-night of Animation Domination. What that show might be is anyone’s guess.

I really like the Family Guy move. For years the show has always had the fewest episodes ordered and, as such, we would be dealt a lot of reruns over the course of the season, so with this move FOX assures us that the show will have much fewer instances of this as the network has announced a full season order for season 23. Furthermore, we have two Family Guy holiday specials to look forward to for Hulu so we won’t be completely devoid of new Family Guy for the rest of 2024.

The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, and Family Guy are all on the final year of their orders, but according to DeadlineFOX wants to keep them going.
