Overview:

Rudeus’s sisters arrive with an unexpected chaperone. After catching up with an old friend, Rudeus decides to send the girls to school. But convincing Norn and Aisha turns out to be more trouble than he bargained for.

Our Take:

This anime toes the line with the best of them. It can go from being heartfelt and emotional to tropey and cringey momentarily. Some of it feels like certain things have to be in it since it’s a light novel/anime property, but for the most part, they’re not terrible. If it wasn’t for the pervy hijinks this series has, we wouldn’t have gotten one of the most funny moments in the show. Rudeus’ relationship with Linia and Pursena is fascinating but it leads to some great moments and their friendship is genuine, plus they might be the only females that Rudeus hasn’t tried to sleep with.

Rudeus has had to grow up fast between the displacement incident and now having to care for his sisters he’s become an adult before our eyes. His sister Aisha is happy to be with her brother but the other sister, Norn couldn’t be more upset. She believes that her brother is a philanderer and untrustworthy, and if we only had the information she did then maybe we would feel that way too.  As it stands we know that Rudeus has only done his best and he is a great big brother. Ruijerd was his sister’s chaperone and he seemed displeased that Rudeus had settled down with someone other than Eris but he seemed confident that Rudeus would see Eris again and that he should keep an open mind.
