English Dub Review: The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil “The Foolish Angel and Demon to the End”

Overview:

Akutsu and Lily deal with the fallout of what happened. But first Akutsu has to convince Lily that he didn’t take advantage of her.

Our Take:

This was an interesting show and I have to admit that by the end I was hoping we might get a second season. But I’ve watched enough anime to realize we probably won’t get one for this series, but lately, plenty of anime have been getting second seasons after a long wait so I could be wrong.

Like a lot of romance anime that only have twelve episodes it feels like we got next to no progression but some of what we got was nice at least. Akutsu and Lily couldn’t be more opposite at first but that’s typically how a Romeo and Juliet premise begins.

This episode was nice and chill, especially after the craziness of the last few episodes it was good to relax. That is until Lily woke up and thought Akutsu had taken advantage of her and attacked him before he could even get a word in. Luckily, Lilia comes to the rescue and informs her that it was her that changed her out of her clothes while unconscious.

It’s interesting to me that she gets upset about things like that but it seemed like she kissed Akutsu while he was asleep which isn’t okay either. There was an after-credits scene that did leave the door open for a second season, maybe we’ll hear something soon.
