English Dub Review: Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! “Youth Hits Super Hard in the Feels”

Overview:

A sleep-deprived Tsubasa meets up with Minami and they head to her secret location. Later, Minami suggests they should return there years from now and Tsubasa wonders what she means by that. She then reveals what it is she wanted to convey.

Our Take:

That did not go how I thought it was, but I was right in that I had a feeling that it would fast forward to this day. What I was not expecting was the bomb that Minami dropped when she told Tsubasa that she wanted to study abroad. There were a lot of things that happened like in most anime, Tsubasa wasa bumbling mess and couldn’t figure out the right thing to say and when to say it. Was Minami always planning on only telling Tsubasa about her plans to study abroad or did he mess it up?

I have to admit that I don’t know where this is going to go now. I’m pretty sure the next episode is going to be the last and no sign of a second season as of yet. So, is this going to have one of the worst endings of a rom-com ever? I sure hope not but I think it’s clear now that Tsubasa has feelings for Minami.
