Rooster Teeth To Shut Down After 21 Years

We’ve been feeding ya’ll tidbits about this coming to pass for years now and in the next few months it will be official, WB Discovery will be sunsetting Rooster Teeth. The announcement was made today with massive layoffs already underway and will be evaluating what to do with the streamer’s back catalog including its original IP like Red vs Blue, RWBY and Gen:LOCK. 

We have been told of a BIG announcement will be made about the final season of Red vs Blue and we can’t say much more than that right now, but we will be allowed to report next week. It’s HUGE, like OG Red vs Blue fan huge.

In any event, a memo was posted on Roosterteeth.com that you can read here. The studio was founded in 2003 by Burnie Burns, Matt Hullum, Geoff Ramsey, Jason Saldaña, Gus Sorola, and Joel Heyman.
