Quick Updates On Big Mouth Season Eight, Invincible Season Three, And King Of The Hill Return

King of the Hill star Pamela Adlon was in a recent interview with Variety where she gave a quick update on the upcoming revival of the Mike Judge-created series coming next year to Hulu. She largely says most of what we knew already that the series features a large cast of writers that were not part of the OG series and that clearly it’s been tough losing Johnny Hardwick before the legendary voice actor could finish recording his lines as “Dale”. Watch the interview below:

Synopsis:

Set in Texas, this animated series follows the life of propane salesman Hank Hill, who lives with his substitute-teacher wife Peggy, wannabe comedian son Bobby, and deadbeat niece Luanne. Hank has strikingly stereotypical views about God and country but is unpretentious and sees the world simply.

The rest of the second season of Prime Video’s Invincible is slated to premiere on March 14th for which you can read our review for here, but it sounds like we won’t have to wait long for the show’s third season. In a new interview with Steve Yeun, the star of the titular character notes that episodes for the show’s third season have already been banked and that the producers are working to get a lot of backlog done.

In the meantime, Skybound Entertainment has been doing a lot of fun things with Invincible including games, fan activations, and more, so clearly the producers see this franchise as being a potential rocket ship to hold on to for the future.

Synopsis:

Seventeen-year-old Mark Grayson is just like every guy his age, except that his father is Omni-Man, the most powerful superhero on the planet. As Mark develops powers of his own, he discovers his father’s legacy may not be as heroic as it seems.

The eighth and final season of Big Mouth is currently in production and according to a new article in Collider, table reads and writing on the series has largely come to a close with show creator Nick Kroll commenting on the “closure” coming to the series. The big takeaway is that change is coming coming to the characters we all know and love and that there is definitely a “finality” to the series but with respect to the characters of whom are leaving to start new adventures be it continuing education, jobs, etc.

Synopsis:

Even for a cartoon character, going through puberty isn’t easy for a young person. Andrew is learning that first hand as he experiences the nightmare that is growing up in this animated series geared toward adults. Along for the ride are friends Nick and Jessi, who develop a budding romance along the way. The comedy veterans who lend their voices to “Big Mouth” include John Mulaney, Nick Kroll, Maya Rudolph and Jordan Peele.
