English Dub Review: The Daily Life of the Immortal King “It’s All Your Fault”

Overview:

Wang Ling tries to exchange his noodles for something valuable.

Our Take:

This is one of those shows where sometimes I have no idea what’s going on. Yet, it still manages to be enjoyable. Somehow, Wang Ling ended up in heaven but was trying to exchange something of value for something to seal a great evil. Again, I am just telling you what I think happened but something tells me I’m not too far off the mark. What I did appreciate was how the spirits reacted to Wang Ling’s gift that he offered.

Sure to us a bag of instant noodles isn’t much but to Wang Ling, it’s one of the most important things he could ever have. No one knows why they are so important to him but the spirits can understand that they are of great value to him and that he wouldn’t offer up a bag for anything. So, seeing him give them up let them know that he was looking for a valuable prize. But everything they tried to offer him wasn’t what he wanted or needed.

This led to a new group of villains getting introduced that I imagine will have something to do with this “heaven” place. I just hope that this next arc is as entertaining as this episode led me to believe it will be.
