Our Take:

This has been one of my favorite anime of the season. I’ve been reading the manhwa and while the series has been great I was worried it would be a one-and-done thing. But luckily a second season has already been confirmed and if the rumors are to be believed there are plans for six or more seasons. This is good news because this has been one of the better series I’ve read.

After all that, this might sound a bit weird, but Solo Leveling isn’t anything special. At least not yet, but it doesn’t have to be, it just has to be fun and that’s what this series is. It’s pure unadulterated hype in visual form.

Jinwoo has transformed from one of the weakest hunters to one of the strongest in very little time. Once we get further along in the story I can only imagine how much stronger he can get. Unfortunately, his strength hasn’t gone unnoticed as some scouts from the White Tiger guild have sniffed out that he might be more strong than he’s letting on. Not only is Jinwoo strong now, but he showed off how intelligent he is as well by conning the scouts that came for him.

I won’t spoil anything but if you’ve been enjoying this series then buckle your seatbelt because the next two episodes are going to be amazing. You thought Jinwoo was badass now? Just wait till he gets a chance to really let loose.
