English Dub Season Review: Heaven Official’s Blessing Season Two

I feel like the first season had more of a buildup to its ending and you could tell that was it for the season whereas here I could have sworn there would be at least one more episode. More importantly, I wanted there to be another episode because the last few of this season got me super excited.

If you’ve been watching this show for the Yaoi content then you were both disappointed and happy with this season. There wasn’t nearly enough development but there was some development so that has to mean something. Hua Cheng and Xie Lian are moving at a snail’s pace towards a conclusion we all know is going to happen.

One thing I have to say about donghua (Chinese animation) is that it does seem like when one gets greenlit it goes until the source material has been fully adapted. I think that is a good sign for those who love this series because I bet we will get to see it all on screen. Let’s just hope season three doesn’t take that long to get here.
