English Dub Review: The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil “The Excited Foolish Angel and Demon”

Overview:

Lily uses her adorableness to the fullest as she tries to manipulate Akutsu into falling for her. She finds her efforts matched by Akutsu, and it quickly turns into a flirtatious battle for the ages.

Our Take:

After taking a break last week we’re back with a new dubbed episode! I have to say this was a pretty good one and I like that both of our leads are pretty dumb regarding matters of love. They were caught in this battle of who could outflirt the other and it gave off some Kaguya-sama vibes but with a different end goal. Neither wanted to give an inch of their power dynamic, so things kept escalating.

One thing I was happy about was that at the end of the episode when the typical rom-com situation happened I was glad that it was an accident. If it ended up being a ploy by Lily I was going to be upset, I want these two dummies to fall in love for real. If the end of this episode was anything to go by that’s going to happen sooner rather than later. I just hated how their moment got interrupted in a typical anime fashion.
