OverviewIt’s morning as usual. Ruti reconsiders her ordinary daily life that she had abandoned as a hero. That morning, Tisse seemed to be acting strangely. Ruti tries to ask her about the previous night, but…Our Take This time around what we get is a borderline filler episode with Ruti and Tisse being the primary focus. And like most “slice of life”-like stories. It starts with a typical morning when Ruti reflects on the ordinary daily routine she has dismissed as a “hero.” However, on that day, Tisse’s behavior seemed strange. At first, Ruti attempts to inquire about what happened last night, so, to ease Tisse, they go on a date to a bunch of different places within Zoltan.Aside from that, much of the episode is spent on Ruti desiring that same level of Normalcy that Ritt and Red somewhat have with her close friend. But she’s a bit like an autistic person who has difficulty comprehending social cues while attempting social interaction. Later on, there’s the Cardinal’s Spies confirm the Air-ship and it’s also here when the focus goes from Ruti to Tisse in a very unexpected way…Overall this was an okay episode that felt like filler at first. At least until near the end when the big reveal who the episode was meant to focus on. Also, the new hero named “Van” comes across as a crazed zealot whose actions are potentially going to get a lot of innocent people hurt and killed and pretty much shows how opposite he is to Ruti before she was cured of her “Heroes Blessing” because, unlike Ruti, Van isn’t exactly in the best company and is mostly motivated by the romanticization of the heroism itself rather than any moral code. At the very least, I did chuckle at the last scene with Ruti giving Tisse a unique nickname/role of sorts. But given that there seems to be this underlying subplot, It remains to be seen how long this peace will last, as things could potentially reach a level of intensity soon…
