Overview It’s approaching the end of the year. Rin plans a solo camping trip, while the Outdoors Club members earn cash to buy more gear. Our Take For the Season 2 premiere it’s an odd story-structure with the flasbacks revealing what Rin’s first solo camping adventure was like and like most people who do shit for the first time, it usually has a bit of a sloppy start. While the other story takes place in present day with Rin, Nadeshiko, and the other classmates saving up money with their current jobs for more Camping stuff at a later time. Plus the title itself weirdly connects these stories with a particular food that brings nostalgia to Rin in a very unique way…Overall, this was a decent start for the new season. Strangely enough, while the Intro has visually changed, the music tied with it remains the same which is quite a rarity. I say this because in all my years of watching anime, most shows tend to change the intro with some new music, but I’m not too bothered since it further sets the tone for most of it’s lighthearted and “Slice of life” proceedings more-so than I would expect. I was also surprised that the camping clerk who helps Rin was voiced by Ian Sinclair of “Space Dandy” fame whose smooth voice is always welcoming to hear. But with the way this ended, I look forward to whatever direction this takes next.
