English Dub Review: Jujutsu Kaisen “Metamorphosis, Part 2” “Shibuya Incident – Gate, Close”

Overview:

The moment it appeared Itadori and Mahito’s battle to the death was resolved, the being wearing Geto’s body asked, “Shall I save you, Mahito?” Itadori immediately recognizes the man before him as the very same one who sealed away Gojo and leaps to attack.

Choso begins to realize the identity of the mastermind parasitizing Geto’s corpse as sorcerers gather for the final moments of the Shibuya Incident. The special-grade sorcerer, Yuki Tsukumo, comes to the rescue when they’re on the verge of death.

Our Take:

After this, I’m excited but also apprehensive about how I’m going to do the season review for this show. But as for now, we got the final two episodes of this season, and as you could probably expect there was a lot more depression to be had.

The Shibuya Incident is officially over and I feel empty. I don’t see how this gets anywhere close to a happy resolution anytime soon. Mainly because it seems like our two protagonists are going to be butting heads. Yuta, the protagonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie has been assigned to carry out Yuji’s execution.

The bad news doesn’t stop there, Gojo has been deemed an enemy. Jujutsu High’s Principal has also been deemed an enemy and called to be executed. Things are looking bad for our pinky-haired brother but I will be excited to see who, if anyone, stands by Yuji after all of this because it seems like he’s being made out to be the scapegoat.
