Robot Chicken Creators Tout New String Theory Sketch Comedy Series That Leverages Unreal Engine For Real-Time Animation Of Puppets

Yes, a new season of Robot Chicken is on the way for Adult Swim and we are eagerly anticipating the season given that it’s been nearly two years since we’ve seen any new episodes of the stop-motion animated sketch series and we’re hoping that changes very soon.

In any event, the producers of Robot Chicken aka Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, are busy working on a different kind of animated sketch comedy series, this one that leverages Unreal Engine. Known as String Theory, the series sees the aforementioned producers team up with Ryan Corniel and Sebastien Deguy from Sans Strings Studio to leverage Unreal Engine to provide real-time animation of puppet characters.

When and where this new series will air is anyone’s guess, but Stoopid Buddy Stoodios is one of the few studios openly promoting the possibilities that web3 technologies can provide for animation with projects like Nouns in development that could one day be part of an exciting future for the studio.
