OverviewMirika kidnaps Naoya and locks him in a room while Saki and the others try to find the key. Shino is taken aback by Mirika’s resolve and begins to question the way she’s been hiding her feelings…Our Take Picking up from the previous episode, we begin with Mirika proving she’s a criminal and should go to jail. Thankfully she doesn’t go any further otherwise it stops being a lighthearted comedy. Of course, the heart of the story is now on Shino who since Season One’s finale has privately expressed a crush on Naoya but lacks the courage to be as direct thinking she’d be over him if she pushed in further with Saki. All of this comes to the forefront when Shino and Naoya later on have a talk over a cliff and due to Shino accidentally dropping an important item that Naoya gifted her in the past, she jumps in and almost drowns. Consequently, Naoya saves her but makes an equal blunder by swimming the wrong way, and now both are currently stranded on an uninhabited island away from the Okinawa beach house. And it’s here when Shino decides to stop being passive and admits to Naoya she has a long-running crush on an individual but doesn’t clarify who it is…Overall this was quite a fun yet emotional episode, even if it started in a slightly comical yet disturbing way. Thankfully that was fixed later on due to sheer happenstance. As for the moments Naoya had with Shino, they were that was the heart of this episode, and given the wacky and unintentionally romantic situations the two were in, Ii’s clear that Shino “got it bad” for him even if Naoya’s too oblivious to see it, and I look forward to seeing where this goes next!
