In a new interview with Total Film (via GameRadar), director Zack Snyder has noted that a prequel animated series inspired by Rebel Moon is currently in development and will take place before the upcoming live-action film slated to release December 15th on Netflix that may also have a shared universe with Snyder’s other Netflix film, Army of the Dead.
Speaking of which, that Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas prequel animated series to the live-action flick has completed animatics but, right now, is not moving forward at Netflix. The anime-style series Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas also serves as a prequel and follows several characters during the start of the zombie outbreak. The series would’ve featured Dave Batista and most of the live-action cast reprising their roles.
