English Dub Review: Jujutsu Kaisen “Fluctuations, Part 2”

Overview:

Nanami, Maki, and Naobito are driven to the edge after the Special-Grade Cursed Spirit, Dagon, activates his Domain Expansion, Horizon of the Captivating Skandha. Fushiguro gives them a glimpse of a way to escape death, then Toji intrudes upon the fight.

Our Take:

I know I said that about Sukuna but you could also probably say that about Toji. If I’m not mistaken Megumi is his son. Now that this version of Toji just made mincemeat of Dagon while everyone else was having trouble with him I wonder what this father-son conversation might be.

Having said that I’m starting to worry that this arc of the series is going to leave me seriously depressed. It’s anime so anything can happen but I seriously hate Jogo the cursed spirit. He seemingly burned Nanami, Maki and Naobito to death. I’ve heard this series has a lot of surprising deaths so I’m inclined to believe it but here soon who’s going to be left?

Sukuna is one of those that will be left for sure. Can I just say how amazing Ray Chase is as a voice actor? My only problem with him playing Sukuna is that up until now we haven’t got to hear his voice often. But now that Yuji has been force fed so many fingers maybe we will get to hear him for a bit. I don’t normally root for the villain but things are so messed up right now that I want to just see Sukuna kill some fools. Him killing those teenage girls wasn’t really awesome but hey we can only go up from here right?
