Our Take:
Xie Lian has a big heart and will help anyone if he can, luckily for him Hua Cheng has a soft spot for him. Hua offers to take in the boy for a little while at least, which I think shows how much Hua cares for Xie. For the people who are here for the Yaoi content, I think we might be getting into some of the romance soon but so far this series seems like it’s going to be a slow burn.
One part that was really interesting was how Hua’s sword is apparently alive. Not only that but according to Hua it’s also extremely picky and seems to like Xie. I have to admit seeing someone pet someone else’s sword was one of the oddest things I’ve seen but hey this is the life you choose when you become an anime fan. This series has some of the best visuals around and if I’m being honest that’s one of the things I’ve noticed about donghua, they always have some of the best animations I’ve seen.
