Our Take

This time around, we delve into the backstory of Saki and Shino’s friendship, revealing how their relationship evolved from a rocky start to a deep bond. Despite their initial differences, Saki’s persistent pursuit of friendship with Shino gradually broke down her walls, leading to a lasting connection. Naoya’s entrance into their lives added a new dynamic, with his genuine and straightforward personality intriguing Shino, despite her initial reservations. As Naoya’s involvement in their lives grows, Shino finds herself drawn to him, even as she struggles with unrequited feelings.

As the story unfolds, Shino navigates awkward situations while grappling with her emotions. Naoya’s straightforwardness continues to influence events, often leading to unexpected and sometimes risqué outcomes. A welcome party is thrown for Shino, highlighting the complexities of their unconventional relationship dynamic. However, as the specter of two-timing looms over their interactions, Shino becomes determined to confront the situation head-on and put an end to the charade.

Overall, I enjoyed learning how Saki and Shino first met and became friends, and now that Shino has joined the house it’s going to be interesting to see how things develop. Shino is supposedly the serious girl but it made the show even more funny from start to finish. And despite Nagisa’s efforts to win over Shino, it looks like she still has a long way to go, but I can see the seeds have already been planted for Shino to eventually grow to like her, it’s only a matter of time. And finally, I loved the little snippets of Mirika and her sister, they were mostly ad break cards but they at least explained where she was between the time all this wackiness was happening. The question is, what will happen when she returns?
