English Dub Review: Am I Actually the Strongest? “Not a Bad Night”

Overview:

Haruto’s copy attends a welcoming party held by Professor Tearietta, in celebration of Haruto and Iris joining the research lab. Unbeknownst to the partygoers, Schneidel has sent an elite group of assassins to eliminate everyone present!

Our Take:

I don’t know how I am going to end up feeling about this one now that it’s over. It wasn’t bad but it was… something else. So look forward to that but in the meantime, let’s dive in on this last episode.

The frustrating thing about this episode is that it set up some things that were pretty interesting but if my experience with anime is anything to go by I don’t think we are going to get a second season anytime soon. I wouldn’t go so far as to say I loved this series but if I had to choose between a second season of this or another season of Rent-a-Girlfriend I’m going to choose this ten out of ten times.

Haruto is an interesting main character because he doesn’t want to do anything at all but of course, gets sucked into the action. If he wasn’t a walking isekai trope he might have been an interesting character. Unfortunately for this series, the most interesting character was introduced too late.
