English Dub Review: The Devil is a Part-Timer! “The Devil Gets Off to a Late Start”

Overview:

Urushihara and Suzuno rush to Chiho’s aid, but Maou lags behind thanks to his lack of magic and confusing new acquaintances. Meanwhile, Ashiya has the most formidable job of all: explaining all this to Rika.

Our Take:

Well… not every theory can be correct. I thought the girl who kept talking to Maou was an older Alas Ramus but it turns out she’s Alas’s “younger” sister… somehow. I don’t know what’s going but it looks like it’s going to be awesome. Not only that but at this point, I might be more interested in what happens with the relationship between Ashiya and Rika. It’s been clear for some time that Rika has a crush on Ashiya and maybe after this whole thing, he might catch on. But I won’t be holding my breath for that one.

There is a lot going on at the moment and I don’t know which part I’m more interested in. Alas Ramus’s sister, the battle that Chiho is involved in, or what is going on with Ashiya. They’re all fun and interesting bits that I am really looking forward to and that isn’t even getting to the fact that we still don’t know where Emi and Alas are. Did I mention that the man who was protecting Alas’s sister is Emi’s father? See! There is just so much going on.
