Bubbleblabber’s Fall 2023 Adult Animated TV Preview

Already the Pumpkin Spice flavors are all over the place, Halloween candy is being sold, and the kids are back in school…its the Fall 2023 season. And despite the fact that we have a multitude of show business strikes, we have a TON of content on the horizon, complete with a few premiere dates that have multiple series premiering on multiple streamers and networks which means some tough viewership decisions are going to need to be made. Fortunately, we’ll be there with you every step of the way starting with our Fall 2023 preview to let you know what’s on tap in the coming months below.

Part Five Premieres: September 1st

From Matt Groening, the creator of The Simpsons, comes Disenchantment – an adult animated comedy fantasy series following the misadventures of a hard-drinking princess, her feisty elf companion, and her personal demon.

The intense battle action manga “KENGAN ASHURA” (written by Yabako Sandrovich and illustrated by Daromeon) is a massive hit, having been read by over 500 million people, and remains steadfast as the most popular comic among readers of the online comics website Ura Sunday and the comics app MangaONE.

The Max Original animated series YOUNG LOVE debuts with four episodes THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 on Max. The twelve-episode season will continue with four episodes weekly, leading up to the season finale on Thursday, October 5.

Expanding on the groundbreaking Academy Award®-winning short Hair Love, from creator Matthew A. Cherry and Sony Pictures Animation, YOUNG LOVE gives an honest, heartfelt, and comedic glimpse into the lives of African American millennial parents Stephen Love (Scott Mescudi) and Angela Young (Issa Rae) as they experience the relatable ups and downs of modern life. In remission following a battle with cancer, Angela struggles to balance her work as a stylist with the demands of parenthood, while Stephen attempts to carve out a career as a musician in an ultra-competitive industry. Along with their fearless daughter Zuri (Brooke Monroe Conaway), this tight-knit Chicago family juggles careers, marriage, parenthood, social issues, and multi-generational dynamics, all while striving to make a better life for themselves.

This season, expect a Michael Bolton guest appearance, plus the likes of June Diane Raphael, Tom Green, Brad Marchand (!!!!), Margo Martindale, Justin McElroy, Tim Meadows, Dean Norris, Ms. Pat, Tim Robinson, Paul Scheer, Amy Sedaris, and comedian Trevor Wallace.

The premiere episodes are entitled ‘Truck Stopped / Jingled’ with the first episode seeing Tilly and Cricket at a truck stop and with Tilly coming up with a jingle for a commercial featuring Bolton guest-starring as “Rick Razzle”. Other episodes will see Cricket attempting stand-up comedy, Bill going nuts, and Gramma attempting to become a minimalist. Also coming, the 100th episode, and a possible musical episode down the road.


KRAPOPOLIS: A new animated comedy that centers on a flawed family of humans, gods and monsters that tries to run one of the worldÕs first cities without killing each other.
