English Dub Review: Oshi no Ko “Idol”

Overview:

MEM-cho has fans. Ruby has the looks. But Kana has…? She’ll need to find the answer before she can be anyone’s star. Later, a fresh opportunity sets Aqua on a new path to revenge.

Our Take:

What a night and day difference between this and Urusei Yatsura for me. One is ending and I couldn’t wait for it to be over while with this I am so sad that it’s over. Why did it only get eleven episodes when other shows get so much more? But we do have a second season coming soon and the arc that is getting ready to happen is going to be very exciting. I love music in anime and boy does this show deliver. B-Komachi performs in their first concert and I loved it. Aqua being out there to support by dancing like a madman with his glow sticks was a definite highlight. I also added the two songs they performed to my playlist.

I legitimately can’t wait to do the season review for this because it was an absolute blast to watch. The animation was great and I’m going to enjoy diving into the voice acting for this show. It was the top-ranked anime on MAL for a short amount of time as if you needed any other reason to watch.
