Overview:

Ever since moving to an in-game world after countless hours of VRMMO grinding, Yuna now calls Crimonia—the city where she started—home. While maintaining her reputation as a renowned adventurer, she continues to manage her businesses; but most importantly, Yuna spends time with the people she has grown to love. Nevertheless, this world has a lot more to offer the carefree adventurer. It is up to Yuna to discover these wonders, and perhaps help more people in need as she encounters their various plights.

Our Take:

I say that but I have to be honest I slept on this show and now I’m beating myself up for it. It’s not going to win any awards or challenge your brain or anything but it was good fun. Especially, if you’re a gamer. I was in the thick of playing the new Legend of Zelda when this was on and it made the whole experience so much more enjoyable.

The voice cast was outstanding, Yuna was voiced by Marissa Lenti who I don’t get to hear too often but I loved her in the anime Gamers! where she played Hoshinomori. If you’ve never seen Gamers! do yourself a favor and watch it, absolutely one of my favorites. But we’re here to talk about Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear. Xanthe Huynh and Amanda Lee are just some of the others who do great work in this anime.

From an animation standpoint, it doesn’t really do too much special. But the character design is fantastic and they really pop with color. When your main character is dressed like a bear 24/7 it’s kind of hard to not notice. The fight scenes were well-choreographed and you would be hard-pressed to find negative things about them.

I am for sure going to go back and watch the first season after this. It was a really great series that was just a lot of fun. If you’re looking for a fun isekai anime that doesn’t necessarily feel like an isekai then this is the show for you. It helps that it also uses a lot of hilarious bear puns.
