English Dub Review: Oshi no Ko “Pressure”

Overview:

B Komachi’s first performance approaches, but the group still needs practice while Kana refuses to be the center. Perhaps a certain expert choreographer could help them shine?

Our Take:

I don’t really have too much room to talk but Kana needs to chill with the self-deprecating remarks. She’s a fantastic actress and I think she will be a great idol as well! But she really has this image of herself that she is just the worst at everything she does. Pieyon came to help everyone with their choreography before the big show and Kana was starting to fall for him and thinking about casting off Aqua as her crush. Unfortunately for her, this was Aqua just posing as Pieyon so now I think she’s actually MORE in love with him.

I have the exact opposite problem with this anime as I do with Urusei Yatsura. I can’t wait for that one to end and then I saw that this only has eleven episodes so that means next week is the last one. It can’t end this soon! Though with a second season already being confirmed I suppose there is a bit of a silver lining. I’m not sure how this one will end up in anime of the year voting but based on how people have reacted to this series I think it has shown it belongs with the season’s best.
