Overview:
Touka tries to keep up his masquerade around the princess, while a sinister plot moves into motion beneath the capital.
Our Take:
Next week’s episode is going to be realllllllyyyyyy interesting but before we get into why that is I got to review this one. This is becoming harder and harder to do because the characters haven’t really grabbed me yet, I wouldn’t say they are necessarily bad but Yuna especially can be really annoying. I understand that Touka isn’t your typical knight in shining armor but he does care for and when he tries to be serious and helpful she treats him like shit and it’s just a bit grating. I’m hopeful that will get better as we go along but we shall see.
The princess eventually finds out that Touka isn’t actually the legendary hero but he still comes to save her because while he may be perverted he isn’t a bad guy. Now as for what is going to make the next episode interesting. You see the princess has this rare disease where her bodily fluids leak excess mana and if you’ve been watching you may have noticed Touka doesn’t have a lot of mana. She hasn’t shed tears in a long time and apparently isn’t sweating at the moment. So… we get a cliffhanger of her getting ready to pee right on Touka’s face. I’ve seen a lot of weird stuff in anime but nothing quite like that yet so check back next week to see if the waterworks happen.
