English Dub Review: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? “White Palace | White Labyrinth”

Overview:

Bell and Ryu’s relationship deepens as the trauma of the Deep Floors pushes them past their limits. They have each other, which is why they’re both still alive.

Our Take:

Okay so… I know that I am a huge Ais Wallenstein fan, and I still am, but Ryu has been growing on me. She’s always been up there for me but this whole scenario has just fueled that fire. Ais hasn’t been in the picture for so long that it’s easy to forget that Bell is in love with her. In fact, it’s been so long since there was ever a conversation about it that I’m not even sure that Bell is still in love with her. If not for the fact that his ability is kind of linked to it I would really not think so. Though to be fair that ability is just about someone he admires if I recall and he can admire her without being in love with her.

I’m loving this character development with everyone involved in this journey into the depths. But it is taking a really long time. I thought this wouldn’t take nearly as long because normally how these seasons go there is a serious arc and then something to add a bit of levity. I don’t see levity coming anytime soon.
