English Dub Review: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? “Daphne Lauros | Friend”

Overview:

The boss fight extracts a heavy toll on the party, and they must make a choice. If they go one way, they will live. But if they go the other? They will die.

Our Take:

Bell and Ryu are in a tough spot but after defeating the floor boss it looks like the team will put all of their focus on finding and rescuing the two of them. But the boss fight took a lot out of them, I was really surprised that no one died even though it seemed like a few of them would. I love the way this series does its world because it’s like a great mix of Dungeons and Dragons and anime. I fully expect everyone to level up big time if they make it back.

One thing that was touched on a bit in this episode but not enough for me was Ryu’s backstory. We know so little about her that I was excited to see her during her time in a familia. But unfortunately, we didn’t get to see too much because most of the episode’s focus was on the boss fight which makes sense but I am anxious to see what happens with Bell and Ryu. The next episode should start solving some of those issues I imagine.
