Lackadaisy Animated Pilot Blows Up YouTube!

You may recall an animated short we featured in our Kick List feature called Lackadaisy a couple of years ago and the one thing that has to be understood when noting that THIS short was successfully funded is that there are TONS of animated projects that get posted on Kickstarter and Indiegogo and very few of them get financed anymore. So when success happens from any sort of crowdsourced campaign, that has to do with every way in which this short was marketed and these guys must have done a great job in both that department and the eventual launching of the animated pilot which happened earlier this week and as of this writing is approaching 5 million views on YouTube…impressive stuff that networks should take note of.

In Lackadaisy, it’s 1927 and Prohibition is the law of the land. For Rocky, Freckle and Ivy, the night shifts are never dull. LACKADAISY, based on a comic series by Tracy J. Butler, was directed by Fable Siegel, produced by Iron Circus Animation, and made by a crew of more than 160 skilled artists across the world.
