English Dub Review: Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury “The Witches from Earth”

Overview: 

The members of Earth House set out to Plant Quetta to pick up the Aerial which is under repair. However, Suletta worries about her fight with Miorine.

Our Take:

This episode made me feel really bad for Suletta, you can tell she is just so far in her own head that she is psyching herself out. She feels useless and in an attempt to not be useless, she runs herself ragged. Not taking the food she likes to please others, she’s just a mess right now and I felt so bad for her. Luckily, Miorine is a fantastic bride and picks up on this and goes to her to let her know how she feels. Sure she’s kind of rude about it but she clearly cares for Suletta. I think this Yuri bait might actually have some legs.

Apparently, only “witches” pilot Gundams or maybe there’s another reason why they get called that but Plant Quetta gets attacked by witches from Earth. Suletta will need to get to Aerial and fast if she has any chance of fighting off this attack.

I believe the next episode is the end of the first cour so we’ll see if it goes straight into the second one or not. I’ve been hearing some great things about it so I’m excited to see it, since I’m reviewing the dub now I haven’t been watching it so this will all be new and fresh to me.
