English Dub Review: My Hero Academia “Deku vs. Class A”

Overview:

As Deku tries to run away, Class A draws him back by recounting their memories with him and reminding him of his own words.

Our Take:

I always feel like I embody Deku when I watch this anime, I always feel soft. In almost every episode I end up blubbering like a child because I’ve come to really care about these characters. Bakugo’s growth over the last six seasons has been great. I know that rival characters are nothing new in the shonen series but I have to say I think the rivalry between Deku and Bakugo is one of the best. One apology won’t make up for everything he’s said and done to Deku, he did tell him to kill himself after all, but it is a huge leap forward.

Class A had to pull out all the stops to get Deku to come back and I think it was only because he was so tired that it worked. My boy put in the work against everyone but he was just too damn tired. Unfortunately, even after all of that Deku might still have some trouble getting back into UA. All of the civilians know about Deku, One for All, and All for One. They’re aware that with him there they might get attacked. So can Class 1-A convince everyone to put their life on the line to save the smile of a hero?
