English Dub Review: Bluelock “Voice”

Overview:

Monsters with absolute talents that Bachira has finally found… he barely has time to rejoice in the encounter, because he realizes that he is left behind by Isagi and Rin. In the meantime, the game has entered its final phase, going through a seesaw struggle with Barou as a joker in the play. In the extreme condition, Isagi continues to be awakened, and Bachira faces his own ego.

Our Take:

Anime like this really makes you have a newfound respect for professional athletes. Time doesn’t actually slow down for them they just have to come up with plans and counters really fast. There was one point in this episode when I thought Isagi was outsmarted by Rin again but then under his breath, we heard him say “Got him” which was both terrifying and hilarious.

What makes this such a good sports anime is that I have no idea who’s going to win this. I could see it being Rin’s team and they take Isagi and we follow that way. Or I could see Isagi’s team win but then it comes down to who are they going to choose. My heart says Bachira but my brain says Rin. I just hope that we get a resolution one way or another because this match has kind of started to drag on.
