English Dub Review: Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun “The End of the Harvest Festival”

Overview

Asmodeus protects Iruma and Clara from Orobas, but he is disqualified from the competition because he directly attacked Orobas. As they watch Asmodeus walk off, they realize that Orobas has disappeared. Ocho had taken Orobas and fled. If Iruma and his friends don’t retrieve the Vase of Endings, they can’t make the Legend Leaf bloom. But they have no idea where to even start. It is then that a certain someone appears before Iruma and his friends.

Our Take

As expected, Asmodeus gets himself disqualified for attacking Orobas, but knowing that he’s the only enemy that the Misfit Class has, The dude isn’t afraid of the consequences in his pursuit of becoming Iruma’s right-hand man. Besides, since Asmodeus is already at Rank 4 Dalet, it’s up to the rest to survive at this point to maintain their status.

The 3 of them reunited and celebrated for a short moment, then after the Harvest Festival: the display of camaraderie. The Vase of Endings may have been submitted from Orobas thanks to Ocho and both of them are on the trail to becoming winners, but there is the obvious twist that even threw me off. But for once, the show it’s finally acknowledging the collective effort of the Misfit Class and now pressing Iruma as their only hope, perfect teamwork.

Overall, while I’m finally happy that this arc is coming to an end, I also feel slightly disappointed since we only have a few episodes left until the season is over. While the title says it’s the festival’s ending, I feel like the real ending will be the next episode because I can’t wait to see the end result of them putting the vase and seed together and seeing what happens next in later episodes.
