Adult Swim News: Toonami Boss Talks Future ; New Pilots Incoming ; Witch From Mercury
On February 1st starting @ midnight ET/PT only on Adult Swim, the network is premiering THREE pilots for new programming. Starting @ midnight ET/PT, we’ve got the half-hour series Hot Freaks, followed by two quarter-hour pilots in the form of Bill And Jeannie and Yenor respectively. Not much else is known about these series, but if any of them are animated we’ll recap them for you next week.
In other notes concerning the future, rumors swirling about the English dub premiere of Witch From Mercury coming to Toonami were squashed by Adult Swim VP Jason DeMarco, but the longtime producer does note that there are three new original series premiering on Toonami sometime this year with a fourth coming early 2024.
Do we know if Hulu will be the only entity to have the dub, or if it will be on other platforms, too? The show in general is definitely going to be on multiple platforms.
