OverviewSugimoto and Asirpa prepare to meet the main unit of the 7th Division…Our Take It took at least took 6 episodes to get back to the main story, but at last, we’re back on track with the gold hunt. We also had to say farewell to Cikapasi as he decided that he wanted to stay with Enonoka in the small village. His talk with Tanigaki (who shedded manly tears) as they said goodbye to each other, along with an inspirational yet comical “boner” message, was very well done. And a subplot involving Ariko within the 7th Division being a double agent for Hijikata continues to make the story clever and more interesting, even at this point. And then there was Koito figuring out Lt. Tsurumi’s plan by confronting Tsukishima, and Koito realized Tsurumi’s entire plot as Tsukishima has already given in, to which Koito has an unexpected reaction that. And of course, the ending with Shiraishi drunkenly spitting facts to Sugimoto about Asirpa’s personal goals vs what Sugimoto wants for her while exposing what he overheard between Koito and Tsukishima was an awesome way to end it with the End credits music playing.Overall, with everything slowly coming together now, all the plot points that have been built up for so long in filler episodes now have an actual purpose with a couple of twists here and there that have been built up in the opening of a few episodes of this season in fantastic fashion here and we can expect things to likely become chaotic during the proceedings. I also hope that Sugimoto will continue to protect Asirpa as much as he can, but at the same time, let her decide what she truly wants to do. Upon research, we might not see new episodes for a while due to an unfortunate death within the animation team that halted production, but we can only hope for this story to continue later on as it ended on one hell of a cliffhanger for Sugimoto to figure out what to do next when Lt. Tsurumi actually shows up…
