English Dub Review: Cardfight!! Vanguard Will+dress “Divided Thoughts”

Overview: 

Eight players have qualified for the finals. But before they can face each other in the tournament, they must all first prepare.

Our Take:

Well, all the cool stuff that I liked in the last episode was missing from this one. We had a couple of card battles but it was just two people yelling at each other. I feel like the main appeal of a card show like this is to see the battles play out even though they’re imaginary. So as you can guess this one just lost all of my interest.

We’re nine episodes in and there are hardly any characters I care about. Urara is fun but that’s more to do with the voice actor than the character herself. She’s cute sure but I am more interested in the fact that her voice actress is the same for sub and dub. This is interesting sure but it’s not going to carry a show. Maybe the next episode will get back to the stuff that was interesting but I am not going to hold my breath on that.
