English Dub Review: Bluelock “Premonition and Intuition”

Overview:

Team Z was crushed by Team X, who centered the offensive play around the egotistical yet skilled Barou. Responding to Ego’s urge to “take up a weapon,” the players discuss what their weapons are in preparation for the next match. However, Isagi struggles to identify what it is. Using “the smell of the goal” he felt in the game against Team X as a hint, Isagi, and the others go against Team Y in the next match.

Our Take:

What makes this such a fun anime is all the different personalities. I feel like my favorites are going to change every week. Isagi is really cool and I am a huge fan of the eye thing that happens if you watched the first episode you will know what I mean. Essentially once their “ego” takes over their eyes get crazy and it’s awesome. I think Isagi’s talent is probably recognizing the talent around him. I get that the ego of everyone is the main point but sometimes you got to pass.

The gameplan of Team Z was a pretty interesting one. Everyone wants time to shine of course so they all rotate to a new position every ten minutes. But when the team plays defense expertly it’s hard to do much. Will Team Z be able to pull out a victory?
