MTV VMA’s Recap: Eminem And Snoop Dogg Bring Animated Music Video To Life

A week ago waves were made in the music business when Capitol Records had inked a virtual rapper to a record deal that ultimately fell through. The artist, FN Meka, discovered and managed by E. Town Concrete’s Anthony Martini, was essentially a digital avatar using the likeness of Kyle The Hooligan and ultimately created by Chris and Brandon Le, was dropped as a result of some sort of past use of racial slurs used in some manner, thereby officially delaying web3 animation’s explosion into mainstream pop culture. Fortunately, it seems that the wait wasn’t going to be for very long if Eminem and Snoop Dogg had anything to say about it.

You may recall an animated music video we showcased that featured the aforementioned rappers using their Bored Ape NFT avatars as characters in a music video for the track “From the D 2 the LBC”, well, at last night’s MTV VMA’s, the duo opted to translate that act to a live-stage that you can watch below. Maybe the future is about to arrive after all.
