English Dub Review: Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club “Let This Thrill Resonate—.”

Overview:

It’s time for Nijigasaki High School Idol Club’s first ever live event.

Our Take:

Season Two ends with the girls putting on their first live show and it is electric. There are some mishaps, but the fans and the club are into the show all the way through. During intermission, Yuu receives a note that touches her heart. The rest of the club tell her she’s a school idol too even if she doesn’t perform on stage. Before the final full group number, Yuu gives a speech to the crowd and tells them to follow their dreams. Then we get an explosive final number and we see what the girls are up to next.

If the show wanted to give the feeling of being at a real live concert in this episode, it succeeded. All of the performances were entertaining to watch, both the girls on stage and the crowd. It had all the energy of a concert without being at a venue surrounded by tons of people.

Seeing the backstage interactions is also a cool part of the experience, even though they’re all very brief. Not to mention, the typical moments of friendship between the club’s members are also very sweet.

For a show like Love Live! Nijigasaki High School idol Club, having an episode like this is a great way to cap it off. It’s great to see everyone having a blast and the club’s hard work paying off. It’s a season finale that any fan of the show, even casual viewers, can enjoy and dance along with.
