Our Take

Looks like they finally reached their destination which was New York, to begin with, and now that they are here, we got to see some new faces as well. One of them is Anna’s sister, Charlotte who works for the Symphonica technology department. That reunion was precious. And here start some of the complications with Takt, as his body seems to be visibly showing signs that his link with Destiny/Cossette is becoming detrimental to his stamina and that’s not a good sign…

In the end, Anna’s sister wasn’t of any help and as a result, practically the rest of the episode was wasted on the potential development of the non-existent romance between Takt and Destiny. Aside from that moment in the park that brought a rare moment of peace for the two of them. Nothing really happened in this episode apart from the last 2 minutes. Lenny and Titan decide to tell the truth about D2s and the infamous “Boston incident”, involving Takt’s father Kenji 10 years ago.

Overall, I liked this episode with the way Destiny is processing her emotions, she gradually turned into a warm and thoughtful person, it’s nice that She isn’t an emotionless character throughout. Besides the mystery of who is summoning D2s to new york (which is pretty obvious to be symphonica’s/Sagan’s doing), the main question this episode puts forward is about alpha youth. A genetic disposition that Takt seems to have, why does he have it, and what are the mechanics behind it? I presume those will be some of the information we will hopefully get in the next episode.
